The following is a case study from a client campaign.
He’s a content creator on LinkedIn who wanted to launch a new offer.
Here’s the breakdown…
Length: 8 days
Emails: 12
Price: £750 PIF, £900 on payment plan
Sales: 19
Cash: Around $18,000 USD
He started the campaign by emailing his list and asking if they’d be interested in what he was putting together.
Once people started responding “YES”, he wrote up a Google Doc breaking down the details and started sending it to them.
His program is about writing effectively on LinkedIn for audience growth and lead generation.
So in his emails, he wrote about:
What life can look like once you have these writing skills
How much time they could save using his methods
How much money they could save, and make, using his methods
How much better they’ll look to their peers using his methods
Personal proof shots
Client proof shots
These emails would get people to reply to him if they had questions, and link to the checkout page if they were ready to lock in their spot.
His campaign started off by making about one sale a day, which was less than expected. But I told him to keep at it because the last day is when you really see if it worked.
So the last day comes around and he sends 4 emails using my final countdown sequence. He doubled his sales that day, which is not uncommon.
This is why we go heavy on the last day and never give up on a campaign, especially on a new offer. You never know for sure if it works until the end, because people wait until the last second to buy.
Now that he has a validated offer… he can run it again and/or make it evergreen. We’re working on the strategy for that now to see how it meshes with his other offers like his intro course and 1:1 consulting.
But now he has the skills to repeat this whenever he wants or needs to.
So there you go. A case study for the curious.
